AMIS at Global Grain Geneva
Several AMIS country representatives and Secretariat members will speak at Global Grain Geneva, an annual event reaching out to the global grains and oilseeds trading industry. This year's conference will take place at the InterContinental Geneva on 14-16 November 2017, following the twelfth session of the Global Food Market Information Group.
The AMIS Secretariat will lead a discussion on risks in global commodities trade, supported by Chatham House and their new study on "Chokepoints and Vulnerabilities in Global Food Trade". The Secretariat is also in charge of organizing a session on soybean markets in South America, kindly supported by AMIS focal points from Argentina and Brazil. Finally, the US representative to AMIS will contribute to a discussion on changing trade regimes and geopolitical risks to international commerce. Last but not least, the Chair of AMIS, Mr. Jésus Silveyra of Argentina, has the special honor of opening the session on the global market review.
