Bringing together experts, practitioners and other stakeholders, this workshop set a pathway for enhanced measurement of stocks and utilization in China’s supply and demand balance sheets for the four AMIS crops (wheat, maize, rice and soybeans).  In view of China’s importance in terms of its large market size and population, better estimates of these elements will improve the monitoring of the global food security, an objective shared by both China and AMIS.
