The AMIS Secretariat Steering Committee met virtually on 17 June 2022 to discuss the initiative's work programme and strategic direction, and to plan upcoming activities and events such as the 21 session of the Global Food Market Information Group scheduled for 21 June 2022.

The Steering Committee is the decision-making body of the AMIS Secretariat, which is composed of one representative of each of the ten member organizations of AMIS. Meetings are closed to the public, but the current and incoming AMIS Chair are participating as observers.
