The AMIS Secretariat Steering Committee met virtually on 15 September 2021, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the AMIS initiative that was launched at an inception meeting on 15-16 September 2011.

In view of this important milestone, representatives of International Organizations that are members of the AMIS Secretariat discussed the future of AMIS and the initiative's strategic direction.

Following the positive feedback received from AMIS participating countries at this year's meeting of G20 Agriculture Deputies and the 10th session of the AMIS Rapid Response Forum, IO members agreed that the main outputs and activities of AMIS should continue, with some adjustments to further increase the visibility and impact of AMIS.
