Representatives of the 10 member organizations of the AMIS Secretariat met on 4 May 2018 in Rome for the Eighth Session of the AMIS Secretariat Steering Committee. The outgoing AMIS Chair Argentina and the incoming Chair Canada were also participating in the meeting as observers.

The Steering Committee, which meets once a year in a closed session, is the coordinating body of the Secretariat to review the AMIS work plan and financial situation.
